Dr Alexander Leopold joined Ising International Consulting in Munich, Germany, in 2007. Now as Managing Director, he is trusted to deliver the highest quality retained executive search services, enabling the continued success of our clients.

Alexander studied chemistry at Munich Technical University between 1994 and 1999. Following his successful diploma, he worked as a scientific research assistant at the Institute for Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry to prepare his doctorial thesis.

After obtaining his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, Alexander worked as strategy consultant for Accenture from 2003 to 2006. He consulted companies in the “resources” and “communication and high-tech” sectors. From 2006 to 2007, he worked as a consultant for a Swiss company in the marketing and sales division.

Edgar van Mark was a co-founder of IIC Partners Munich GmbH in 1999, following a fifteen-year career in industry and management consulting.

Edgar began his career in 1983 as a human resources and legal affairs manager, initially in a real estate company and later in an international electronic supply company. In 1988 he joined the Süddeutsche Verlag GmbH in Munich, one of Germany’s major daily newspapers and publishing companies as human resources manager.

In 1992 he joined Ward Howell International as a senior consultant in the Munich office. In 1995, he became partner and managing director of Ward Howell Deutschland.

Edgar was born in 1954. He studied law in Munich and Geneva and worked as a lawyer in France and Canada until 1983.

Dr Steffi Katz joined Ising International Consulting in Munich in 2000 as research consultant. She has been head of research since 2002, and a partner since 2005.

Following her A-levels, Dr Katz first trained to work at an optician’s before studying Psychology at the University of Mannheim. Upon graduating with a diploma in 1996, she spent four years as a research assistant in a DFG-funded, interdisciplinary research project at the University of Mannheim, and completed her dissertation in 2000.

Angela Burghold joined Ising International Consulting in Munich in 2007. Since 2018 as Managing Director, she is responsible for specialists and executive positions in the legal and patent sector.

Angela Burghold began her career as a recruitment consultant in 2000 at the Personalagentur für Patentfachkräfte (personnel agency for skilled patent personnel) in Augsburg. She initially worked in the finance sector. From 2002, she specialised in the executive search for patent professionals.

After successfully completing a diploma in Business Administration in 1985, Angela Burghold began her career as a recruiter at KUKA Schweißanlagen+Roboter GmbH, Augsburg. After four years, she moved to the Bavaria Filmstudios in Munich, which she left as deputy human resources manager to begin her career in recruitment.
